SEPTEMBER 17 – MONTVALE, NJ – Adriel Filipovski scored a pair of second-half goals and Jack Houston assisted on one to help BC earn a tie against St. Joseph Regional in Montvale.
I was thinking of Rodgers and Hammerstein's, Oklahoma, looking at the grass on the back-40 of St. Joseph's property.  "The corn is as high as an elephant's eye.... an' it looks like it's growing clear up to the sky."
Yeah, that's how high the grass was.  Intentional?  I'd be disappointed in them if it wasn't to be honest.  And it would be unfair to say the Green Knights didn't play inspired soccer.  It seemed they were far more comfortable playing there than the turf-trained Crusaders.
In any case, it created angst for the undefeated JV squad who fell behind 1-0 in the second half.  Fortunately, they continued scrapping and tied the score.  Jun Lee recorded four saves for BC.
