SEPTEMBER 15 – ORADELL, NJ - The Freshman Soccer Team was dealt their first loss of 2026, a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Don Bosco Prep.  The Ironmen scored in the 8^th minute of the game that went scoreless for the remaining 72 minutes.
Luca Cividini was strong on the wing for the Crusaders who also received some dynamic play in the midfield from Erik Pizha and Jason Henry.
Micah McCleod put pressure on the Ironman defense for a good part of the first half and James McAnulty and Lucas Stroud.
Will Leone, Junu Lee and Jayden Kim played strong defense holding the Ironmen to just one goal as did goalie Aidan Sullivan.
The Ironmen had a late break away, giving them a terrific chance to put the game on ice, but Noah Han sprinted back and put the ball into touch, preventing the score.
Perhaps the best chance the Crusader had to score was with 13:13 remaining regulation.  (Trivia question:  Do you remember who lived a 1313 Mockingbird Lane?)  Luke Marciano drove a penalty kick toward the goal and the Ironman keeper dove, fully stretching out to his left and getting enough of the ball to force a corner kick.  BC was unable to take advantage and will now show how to refocus in the challenging world of high school athletics.
