JUNE 18 - PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Crusader 4x200 meter Relay Team not only won a national championship at the New Balance Outdoor Track and Field National Championships; they set a meet record with a time of 1:23.50 to boot.  In a remarkable race, BC defeated a three-time defending national champion, Archbishop Carrol HS (Washington, DC) to earn gold.
     Senior Kieran Ewers led things off, running the first 200 meters before handing the baton to sophomore Amiir Woodward.  Senior Thomas McAnulty took the baton into the third leg and handed off to sophomore Adrian Woodward whose anchor leg was a thing of beauty, running flawlessly down the stretch to secure the championship.  All four of the young men are excellent student-athletes who play multiple sports.  Ewers and McAnulty compete fo the Crusaders' league championship soccer teams in the fall and the Woodward brothers start in the secondary for the Crusaders' nationally-recognized football team.
