MAY 8 – WOOD-RIDGE, NJ – Is this a team on a mission? With the progress of the season, the Crusader offense has come to life. They are getting outstanding pitching and more and more, a path to the county is clearing. After defeating third-seeded Westwood Cardinal on Friday, BC is able to focus on just one remaining team on their half of the bracket.
Jack Pintarelli won his second tournament game, going the distance, striking out seven and yielding only one runs on five hits.
Michael Alberto went 2-for-2 with 3 RBIs, a homerun, a double, two runs scored and a walk.
Andres Polanco continues to drive pitchers and catchers wild when he's on the base paths. The senior shortstop stole two more bases, increasing his team leading snags to 15.
