MAY 22 – HACKENSACK, NJ – Despite rainy weather, the Crusader Track team finished 4th overall, recording a number of personal bests and school records at the Bergen County Meet of Champions.  Here's the run-down.
100 Meter: Prelims were PRs (Personal Records) for Thomas McAnulty 10.89 and Kieran Ewers 10.76.  Kieran and Adrian Woodward qualified for finals.  Adrian ran a 10.639 PR for a second place finish.  He was edged by 5-thousandths of a second in the final.

200 Meter:  The Crusaders received a dominant performance by Kieran Ewers taking 1st place with a PR of 21.84.  Jonathan Griffith was excellent, finishing 5th with a PR of 22.32 and a season best 6th place finish for Matthew Peko with 22.42.

400 Meter: Adrian Woodward finished third with PR of 47.81.  A number of Adrian's efforts from the 4x400s are actually even faster than that, but those splits do not register as individual races.

1600 Meter: Mason McKinney ran a PR with a 4:25.29 and finished 5th place.  Jackson Hermann ran a 4:33.50.  They took the race out in 2:09 for this first 800 meters which is 4:20 pace.

3200 Meter:  After a 1-hour storm delay freshman Joseph Reiser had his best race performance of the year.  He ran a 9:49.84 which is a PR of 12 seconds!

110 Hurdles: Sean Anderson ran a PR with a time of 14.80 and junior Michai Roberts ran a PR in prelims with a time of 14.31 and 5th place finish in finals with a 14.54.

Triple Jump: Jonathan Griffith jumped a distance of 43'4.25" finishing in 7th place

Not contending with certain events to keep the team healthy for state groups led to an overall team finish of 4th place with 38 Points.  It was a great night for the team and very good sign looking ahead to next weekend.
