MAY 20 – MAHWAH, NJ – Good times. No, historically good times at the Bill Bradley Recreation Center on the campus of Ramapo College of New Jersey on Wednesday afternoon as the incredible run for BC's best volleyball team continued.  Today's accomplishment?  Winning the school's first ever BCCA Bergen County Volleyball Tournament by defeating Ramapo's Green Raiders 3 games to 1. 
     Generally speaking, it's difficult to beat a team twice in a season, but three times?  And the third was now in a best of 5 series, rather than a best of 3?  Crusader will ensured the outcome would be in their favor.  George Azrumelashvili powered 24 kills and 19 digs to lead BC to the title.  Jose Ferreira was strong at the net as well, registering 21 kills and freshman Michael Tremarco had 7 blocks.
     Benjamin Li surgically set up his outside hitters, recording a career high 60 assists and Nicholas Auriemma recorded 24 digs and 11 service points, including a team high 6 aces.  Logan Sarza added 15 digs and 6 service points and Jayden Choi had an excellent day scoring, recording 10 kills and 15 service points including a pair of aces.  Andrew Coyne made some key contributions as well, recording 5 kills, two digs and adding a block and an assist.
     Congratulations to Coach Hunter DeBellis, whose leadership of the development team has been nothing short of remarkable.  The volleyball banners in the gym will have some new ink for certain by the time next September rolls around!

     The Crusaders improved to 25-1 on the season after finishing the league play (11-0).  Three of Ramapo's 4 losses are to the Crusaders.  BC is the #2 seed in the NJSIAA Group III North Tournament.  They will play Cliffside Park at Hoehl Gymnasium on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at 4:15pm.
