MAY 2 – LYNDHURST, NJ – It was Lyndhurst, not Wild West City, the city running wild! The Crusaders were run wild, though. No ten-gallon hats, just BC scarlet, but BC took 10 bases from their opponents who either walked or hit batters nine times.
The #11-seed Crusader baseball team started the 2026 BCCA Bergen County Tournament with a convincing win 9-1 over the #22 seed Owls of Park Ridge to advance to the second round. There were no extra-base hits for the home team, just nine singles, nine runs in a first round game.
Andres Polanco scored the most (4 runs) and stole the most bases (3) for BC.
Jack Pintarelli went the distance for BC, striking out 10 and yielding only one earned run on just 93 pitches.
