FEBRAURY 8 – ORADELL, NJ - Luca Colaiemma continued to shine in the BCCA Freshman Tournament Quarterfinal game vs. Becton Regional HS. The freshman scored a game-high 19 points, knocking down 5 three-pointers in the process. BC controlled their south-Bergen County Wildcats 81-44 to advance.
BC jumped out to a 10-point advantage after a quarter and extended their lead to 17 by the half.
Michael Tremarco added a dozen points, five rebounds and three steals and
Justin Miller pitched in 11 points, four assists and three steals.
Noah Powell led the Crusader rebounders with 9, adding a half dozen points of his own.
Things did not get any better in the second half for the Wildcats. BC outscored Becton by 11 in the third and 9 in the fourth. It was a strong team effort with 13 different freshmen scoring in the contest.
Michael Hall recorded four assists for an unselfish offense that assisted on 30 of 35 field goals.
Ryan Heuss converted on a three-point play, as he Brian Paris and Miller kept BC perfect from the line.
