FEBRUARY 20 - HACKENSACK, NJ - The Crusaders have won their record-breaking 13th County Tournament Title by defeating St. Mary's of Rutherford 81-55 in the Jamboree Final at Bogota Savings Bank Center at Fairleigh Dickinson University on Friday night.
     BC was nothing short of awesome in its four Jamboree outings pushing a running clock on its first three opponents and opening a 32-point lead on the Gaels, who demonstrated why they deserved to be in the finale, by holding off wave after wave of BC hoopsters.
     Sophomore Bridgie McMillan scored a game-high fourteen points and four teammates hit double-digit points.  Jaden Brown, Jahlil Owusu and Sean Forbes all pitched in a dozen and Julius Avent scored 11.
     BC out shot SM 8-3 from beyond the three-point arc, an area St Mary's was especially strong at in their semi-final victory over Tenafly on Sunday.

JAMBOREE NOTES:  BC made its first appearance in the Oscar F. Thompson Jamboree in 1959 and have appeared a total of 57 times in the tournament.  The Crusaders have won a record 118 games in the tournament (33 more than nearest opponent Hackensack that has 83) and have also lost a record 44 games (tied with Dwight Morrow-Englewood HS and Ridgewood HS.  This championship is #13 for the Crusaders who have won more than any other team, breaking a three-way tie with Teaneck and Don Bosco Prep, both of whom have 12 titles.  BC has an 8 game winning streak in the Jamboree dating back to last year's second round game.  This title is Coach Billy Armstrong's fifth Jamboree title.  In BC lore, that is one behind BC's Christopher "CJ" Donfield who had 6.  Coach Joe Dionisio has two titles under his belt.
