FEBRUARY 15 – HACKENSACK, NJ – The Crusaders advanced to the County Jamboree on Sunday afternoon after posting a 35-point victory, 83-48 over Teaneck at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Dunks, they were a plenty as
Julius Avent,
Kieran Quinn and
Jaden Brown provided some excitement for the crowd as BC simply played on a different level than the state's #20-ranked opponent.
Brown led all scorers with 22 points. The senior guard also grabbed 6 rebounds and had 3 steals.
Sophomore
Brandon McMillan was all over the court, dominating boards with 9 rebounds, scoring from the outside with a pair of threes, knocking down free throws and served-up a beautiful alley-oop to
Jaden Brown. Bridgie finished with 14 points. Classmate
Sean Forbes pitched in 13 points of his own, quietly and
Owen Wucherpfennig provided some strong inside play with a pair of blocks and seven points.
Alex Mazzella led the Crusaders with four steals and knocked down a couple of shots for five points on the night. Classmate
Jahlil Owusu was solid, adding six assists. Reliable
Kieran Quinn finished with 5 points, including a perfect swish from beyond the arc.
Julius Avent scored eight points and grabbed 7 boards, pushing transition and playing both sides of the court that simply wore out the Highwaymen.
