FEBRUARY 12 – ORADELL, NJ – The Crusaders faced one of the state's top opponents, The Patrick School – National Team, on Thursday night.  The Celtics opened the game on fire with a transition game that opened a significant first quarter lead.  BC settled down and cut the lead to eight by quarters end, but it was a commitment to hustle that ultimately turned the game around leading to a 64-54 Crusader victory.
Game-high scorer Jaden Brown scored eight of his 20 points in the first quarter, helping BC to remain in the game.  Junior guard Jahlil Owusu had one of his finest games of the year contributing 14 points, including six in the second quarter which BC won 12-10.
Sophomore "Bridgie"  Brandon McMillan was all over the court, diving for balls, leaping for a game-high/career-high twelve rebounds and knocked down a three-pointer in the third quarter.  BC grabbed a 45-44 advantage entering the fourth quarter.  That was a quarter dominated by Julius Avent, who scored eight of his eighteen points, and Owusu who dropped in another half-dozen.
The Crusaders, ranked #1 in the state of New Jersey improved to 22-3 on the season.  They are onto the Jamboree Semi-final on Sunday afternoon at 3:00 pm vs. Teaneck HS.
