OCTOBER 3 – RAMSEY, NJ – The Freshman Football Team suffered its first defeat of the season, a "walk-off" 22-20 defeat at the hands of the Ironmen on Saturday morning.
There were good fumbles. There were silly fumbles. For the first time this season, the young Crusaders couldn't outrun some of the unnecessary penalties committed. Those, and some truly bizarre plays, resulted in the team's first defeat of the season.
One big one that gave the Crusaders the lead saw BC's offensive tackle,
Frank Boguski, pick up a fumble of a Don Bosco defender that was fumbled by a BC ball carrier and then sprint 70 yards outrunning everyone on the Ironman defense for a fourth-quarter, go-ahead touchdown.
