JANUARY 6 – ORADELL, NJ – In the 141
st meeting between BC and their most played rival, Don Bosco Prep, the home team opened a 33-17 halftime lead, ultimately going onto a 60-36 victory.
Julius Avent scored a game-high 16 points with 8 rebounds. Sophomore guard
Sean Forbes added a dozen and grabbed 8 boards as well and
Alex Mazzella hit three field goals, a trey and a free throw to reach ten points for the evening.
The Crusaders now hold a 76-65 advantage in the all-time series which dates back to December, 1957. BC's home record vs. the Ironmen improved to 38-19 with the victory and they now possess a 3-game winning streak over DBP.
