JANUARY 3 – LINCROFT, NJ – BC won the Silver Group in the Catholic School Duals at Christian Brothers Academy by defeating Red Bank Catholic 62-3 on Saturday.  It was the first ever meeting between the two schools on the wrestling mat. 
     Freshman Anthony Riotto got things rolling with a 21-5 technical fall in the second period, starting a 4-bout winning streak.  Micah Loudermilk (pin), Matthew Mulligan and Lucas Reeves (major decisions) helped BC grow a 19-0 lead before the Caseys got on the board.
     After a decision at 138 pounds, it was all Crusaders.  Gideon Gonzalez and Joey Rondinelli pinned followed by a Manny Gusfa decision and win by Daniel Washburn in an ultimate tie breaker.  Anthony DiGiovanni, Jr. won by pin and at 190 pounds, Chad Sadaka, Jr. won by major decision.  Upper weights Mason Mark and Ralphie Barca each pinned their opponents and Ryan Halal finished the victory with a 3-1 decision at
