JANUARY 27 – ORADELL, NJ – For the second time this season, BC crowned a 1,000 point scorer, this time it was Jaden Brown.  In the Crusaders' 79-59 victory over Ridgewood HS, the senior guard scored a game-high 23 points, finishing the evening with 1,005 points.  Brown recorded 8 field goals, including a pair of three-pointers and was five-for-five from the free-throw line.
     Julius Avent added 17 points with an awesome inside-out attack: 5 two-point buckets and a pair of treys.  Alex Mazzella dropped in a dozen points and assisted on five buckets while recording 5 steals.  Sean Forbes led the team in rebounds with 6, also assisting 5 times and dropping in 8 points.  Kieran Quinn recorded six points including a monster jam and Jahlil Owusu had some critical baskets in the third quarter as the Crusaders began to pull away.

THOUSAND POINTS NOTES
     Jaden joins his brother Julian '22 on the prestigious list, becoming the first brother tandem to achieve this honor.  It is the first time teammates (Julius Avent and Jaden Brown) reach the 1000 plateau in the same year since his brother did so with the school's all-time scoring leader Will Richardson in 2022.  Other pairs who reached 1,000 points in the same season.
