JANUARY 17-18 – GARFIELD, NJ– The Crusader Wrestling Team won its 22
nd Bergen County Title with 368.5 points in the 65
th Annual George Jockish Holiday Tournament. Many familiar faces come together in a re-engineered tournament that allows for eight wrestlers to compete throughout the medal rounds on four mats, providing more than ample action for every wrestling fan.
Coach Dom Santoli, who is a BCCA individual champion, has now coached back-to-back champion teams in his first full seasons at the helm of the program.
Six Champions including freshmen
Ryan Halal (106) and
Anthony Riotto (113) and sophomores Matt Mulligan (126) and
Gideon Gonzalez (144), who each picked up their second titles. Sophomore
Manny Gusfa (157) earned his first county gold as did senior
Chad Sadaka, Jr. (190).
Senior
Peter Stathis, BC's backup 190-pounder wrestled at 215-pound, and despite giving away 25 pounds to his opponent, earned fourth.

Micah Loudermilk (120), freshman
Lucas Reeves (132) and senior (Sowzy)
Sowzrawca Tsay (138) all finished second. Seniors (AJ) Alexander DiGiovanni, Jr. (175) and
Ralph Barca (285) each took third and senior
Daniel Washburn notched fourth (165) to round out the rest of the Crusaders' medalists.
Joey Rondinelli (150) went undefeated on Saturday to contribute to the point total.
Paramus Catholic finished second in the 43-team field with 228 points.
