LINCROFT, NJ - In an impressive 21-7 win against Don Bosco Prep, the Crusader Rugby Team showed a terrific combination of power, grit, and composure. It all started with
Christian Resto showing his low center of gravity and muscle to both drag three Bosco defenders with him and slam down for the first Crusader score. With confidence high,
Paul Rutigliano forced his way through the Bosco defenders for our second try, before Charlton "CJ" Park brought the crowd to their feet with his incredible speed and solo effort, leaving Bosco defenders in the dust.
Don Bosco attempted to swing the game back in their favor but to avail.
Declan Manning and
Preston Brady were tough on defense, making a number of solid tackles. The match fell completely in our favor, as our defense locked in and would not give an inch. Every tackle, every ruck, every forward dozen reinstate the 'true' fact that it was not just a win, but a statement of intent.
