PARAMUS, NJ – The Crusaders took a 27-game winning streak versus their rivals into Paramus Avenue and came away with #28. Of more importance, the Crusaders finished their first run through the BNC United Red Division undefeated (4-0) after a 6-0 victory. BC scored three in the first half and three in the second behind individual goal scorers:
Quinn Caulfield,
Kieran Ewers,
John Flynn,
Dangelo Tavarez,
Ricardo Tejada-Arango and
Tyler Oehm. Flynn had a big night assisting on a pair of goals as well.
Michael Loughlin,
Liam Agans, Caulfield, and Oehm set up teammates for success as well.
Ian Chung recorded a pair of saves as he earned his first career shut-out victory.
Bergen Catholic is now 52-7-3 all-time against Paramus Catholic, an .863 winning percentage. Paramus Catholic established a 4-game winning streak over the Crusaders between 2010 and 2012, the last time PC defeated BC (2-0).
