RAMSEY, NJ - The Bergen Catholic vs. Don Bosco Prep Soccer Match on Tuesday night was another example of the intense rivalry between these two fine schools. No goals were scored in the first half as both defense kept shooters in check.
Bergen Catholic dominated the field in the second half. James Melia put the first goal on the board and had a banger in the top right triangle off a good feed from Frankie Burns. The next goal from D'angelo Tavarez headed in from a stunning bicycle kick assist from Josh Barlison. Don Bosco scored a goal and to try and take the momentum. But John Coleman made 3 saves denying the equalizer.
John Semelsburger had a breakaway goal off a pass from Owen McCauley to finish BC's scoring. Ian Chung finished the game in net, shutting out the Ironmen for last few minutes
