DECEMBER 23– WAYNE, NJ – The Varsity Hockey Team showed initiative, taking four one-goal leads vs. Don Bosco Prep on Christmas Eve eve. The resilient Ironmen continually rallied back, taking advantage of a pair of power play goals to ultimately defeat BC in overtime 5-4.
Carter Edmonds was on fire, scoring four goals for the Crusaders who mustered just seventeen shots on goal. Edmonds made the most of his opportunities however, recording his second career hat trick and setting a personal best for four goals in a single game.
Kenneth Johnson gave a remarkable effort in goal to give BC a chance to win. His 42 saves were second most this season (he had 41 in the Crusaders' last game vs. Randolph) and second most in his career behind his 45 save effort last year vs. the Ironmen.
