WALDWICK, NJ – The fourth-seeded Freshman Soccer Team defeated fifth-seeded Waldwick 4-3 in a wild match at Waldwick HS. In one of those strange situations where the visiting team is the home team, BC found itself in a 2-0 hole at the half. Fortunately, the team's never-say-die attitude propelled them to overcome two separate deficits. The young scarlet and gold tied the score at two, half-way through the second half of the match, but the Warriors answered back quickly, taking a 3-3 score. BC kept pushing and ultimately tied the score and then won the game with a goal in the 75
th minute of the 80-minute contest.
Four different goal scorers hit net including
Liam Fenton,
Taras Martiuk,
Nate Oltmanns and
Max Rivarola. Rivarola added two assists and Oltmanns assisted on a goal as well. Goalkeeper
Dylan McMahon recorded three saves to earn the victory.
