MORRISTOWN, NJ – The Freshman Football Team represented their school with pride, playing with the type of poise and determination you would hope from a BC team.  The final score was 14-12 in favor of the hosts, but there was a lot of hear demonstrated throughout this game.
Down 7-0 in the second quarter, quarterback Jameson Leon delivered a perfect pass to Thomas Giovacco who perfectly lateraled the ball to Nathan Wortley who carried the ball to the Green Wave 32 yard line.  On second and 8 Leon connected again with a diving Giovacco to set up first and goal at the five yard line.  Three plays later Antonio Rodriguez punched the ball in from the one yard line and the Crusaders were on the board.  BC attempted a two-point play that was broken up, resulting in a pass interference by the defense.  They tried once again to run it in from the one-and-a-half yard line but failed.
After a short kickoff, Delbarton drove the ball inside the Crusader ten-yard line.  With just seconds remaining, BC stopped the the Green Wave drive to go into the half down one point.
The Crusaders kicked off to start the second half and attempted an on-side kick.  Unfortunately, the ball was cleanly fielded by Delbarton and returned for a touchdown, putting BC down 14-6, just seconds into the second half.  Both teams traded possessions until the Crusader mounted a strong fourth-quarter drive.  With the ball, first and goal from the five yard line, Austin Bryan ran a well-executed reverse play to the right, scoring half way through the fourth, but a second failed PAT doomed the Crusader comeback.  Ultimately the clock ran out on a terrific effort.
