LINCROFT, NJ - The Crusader Varsity Soccer team took their #15 state ranking on the road against a tough foe, CBA of Lincroft, ranked 18th in the state.  The Colts ultimately held off the Crusaders to earn a tightly-contested 3-2 victory.  Frankie Burns executed a beautiful corner kick just five minutes into the match and Owen McCauley quickly deposited the ball into the goal, giving the visiting Crusaders an early advantage.  

In the thirtieth minute, the Colts finally beat BC goal keeper John Coleman to tie the score.  They scored again with just sixteen seconds remaining in the half to take a 2-1 advantage into intermission.

Both teams battled for 17 minutes into the second half when the Colts struck again to extend their lead to 3-1.  Frankie Burns answered shortly after, cutting the lead in have and giving BC a chance with twenty minutes remaining in regulation.  It was simply not to be, however as the final whistle blew.  John Coleman recorded seven saves for BC.
