Crusaders Rebound to Rip Paladins 45-14

Mason Makes his Marck with 2 INTs

PARAMUS, NJ - The Varsity Football Team wasted no time shaking the dust of two weeks off, by blowing out Paramus Catholic 45-14 under the lights.  Mason Marck returned the first of his two interceptions to the 1 yard line on the game's third play and after Najee Calhoun sprinted around right end for a score and Jacob Soltys drove the extra-point through, BC was off to the races.  Josh Cruz intercepted a Paladin pass to set up the Crusaders in outstanding field position and then Calhoun scored a second time from three yards  out to make the score 14-0 just 1:58 into the game.  The Paladins responded with a long drive, getting on the board on a long touchdown pass along their sideline, but BC put another two scores up on the board.  The first score was a 43-yard pass from Trey Tagliaferri to Austin Busso and the second, a three-yard fade in the corner of the endzone to Anthony Willis.
     Jacob Soltys drove a 32-yard field goal through the uprights to open the scoring in the second quarter, giving BC a 31-7 lead.  Not long after, freshman QB Walker Snee scored on a one-yard run, increasing the Crusader advantage to 38-7.  BC's final points of the half (and the game) came on Trey Tagliaferri's third touchdown pass of the night, a 76-yard catch-and-run to Austin Busso who seemed to be able to celebrate the last 15 yards of the play with Jamal Hammary.  BC improves to 5-1 on the season and looks forward to returning home for Senior Day and Delbarton School's Green Wave.
